This will be a half-day workshop for sites that currently use, or plan to use, the MRF event system hardware and software. We will share current developments and discuss future plans. While much of the workshop will be of primary interest to the EPICS community, all current or potential MRF customers are welcome to attend. The first part of the workshop will be hardware-oriented and should be of interest to all participants.
The agenda is still being constructed, but we currently have talks and discussions scheduled for; New hardware developments and directions (MRF); A firmware pattern generator (SNS); Synchronized timestamps through generalTime (PSI); A general EPICS record interface to the data buffer (PSI); A proposed new EPICS record interface for the modified register map (MRM) firmware (LANSCE). Other topics for discussion can include the uplink from the EVRs to the EVGs and the datalink.
